A year after relegation to B2, Kiefer Ravena and Shiga are back where they belong.
Ravena guided the Lakes to a two-game sweep of the Koshigaya Alphas in the B.League Division II Finals last weekend at Shiga Daihatsu Arena.
Shiga defeated Koshigaya, 96-87, in Game 1 and escaped with an 89-87 victory in Game 2 to clinch the title.
Both the Lakes and the Alphas are promoted to B1 by virtue of making it to the finals.
Meanwhile, relegated to B2 are the Shinshu Brave Warriors (10-50) and the Toyama Grouses (4-56).
Shinshu has RJ Abarrientos as its Asian import, while Toyama has AJ Edu.
Throughout the season, Ravena has been spectacular for the Lakes, averaging 12.4 points, 5.5 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game.
In the Finals, he raised his game, averaging 13.0 points, 6.0 assists, and 2.0 rebounds per game.
Now, Ravena and Shiga are looking to redeem themselves in their return to B1.
