Kiefer Ravena, Bobby Ray Parks Jr. find new homes for new B.League season

Kiefer Ravena and Bobby Ray Parks Jr. will begin new chapters in Japan after signing with different B.League clubs ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Ravena is set to suit up for Ryukyu, while Parks will reinforce Ibaraki as both second-generation stars continue to establish themselves among the league’s top Asian imports.

The move marks another significant milestone for Ravena, who is entering his sixth season in Japan.

After previous stints with Shiga and Yokohama, the veteran guard joins one of the B.League’s perennial contenders.

The Golden Kings finished as the league runners-up last season after posting a 42-18 record in the regular season.

Ryukyu also placed third in the East Asia Super League, giving Ravena an opportunity to compete for championships on multiple fronts.

“I’m very excited to be part of the Ryukyu Golden Kings. As one of the top organizations in the league, I’ll be ready to do my best to represent the city of Okinawa and the fans of the Kings,” Ravena said in the team’s announcement.

The 32-year-old guard from Ateneo de Manila University averaged 11.9 points, 3.3 assists, and 1.8 rebounds while shooting 37-percent from three-point range for the B-Corsairs last season.

Meanwhile, Parks will take his talents to Ibaraki after agreeing to join the Robots, who are looking to rebound from a difficult 2025-26 campaign.

The versatile wing from National University becomes the latest addition to an Ibaraki squad that finished 19-41 and placed 10th in the East Division.

Ibaraki hopes Parks’ all-around game and veteran leadership can help spark a turnaround.

“I’m really excited for this next chapter and grateful for the opportunity to be part of your organization. I can already feel the energy and support, and I can’t wait to meet everyone soon, compete together, and give everything I have for the team and the city. Looking forward to building something special and having a competitive and winning season together,” Parks said.

Ibaraki will be Parks’ third B.League club following previous stops with the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins and Osaka Evessa.
