Phoenix Super LPG will have a new import when the 2026 PBA Governors’ Cup resumes in October.
BJ Johnson will no longer be with the Fuel Masters after officially signing with Russian club Parma BC, which had already announced his acquisition on July 6.
The timing of the announcement makes it appear that Johnson’s stint in the PBA was always meant to be a brief stopover before his move to Russia.

Parma BC made the announcement more than a month before Johnson’s PBA campaign with Phoenix ended, while Fuel Masters head coach Charles Tiu confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times.
Johnson had been spectacular for Phoenix, averaging 30.71 points, 9.57 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 3.0 steals, and 2.0 blocks per game.
The Fuel Masters are currently 4-3 in Group B, tied with Magnolia for second place.
Phoenix now has more than a month to find a replacement, with its next game scheduled for October 16 against Meralco in Antipolo.
