Greg Slaughter listed as reserve for Manila Stars

Manila will field a team comprised of former professionals for the upcoming 2024 MPBL Season.

Leading the formidable squad is the seven-foot center Greg Slaughter.

Currently playing for Fukuoka in the B.League, Slaughter is designated as a reserve for the Stars team, which boasts eight former PBA pros on its roster.

Sources have informed Tiebreaker Times that once the ongoing B.League season concludes, the 35-year-old center will join the Stars in their pursuit of capturing the elusive championship title.

Slaughter is currently averaging 2.7 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 0.4 assists across 30 games played for the Rizing Zephyr.

The Rizing Zephyr currently hold a 35-19 record, placing them third in the B2 standings.

Joining Slaughter are Rabeh Al-Hussaini, Carl Cruz, Mike Tolomia, Jorey Napoles, Pao Javelona, and Jan Jamon.

The Stars will also feature a roster of young talents including Ef Escandor, Didat Hanapi, Shawn Umali, DJ Mitchell, Ira Bataller, James Tempra, and Paul Manalang.

Completing the lineup are Raphael Flores, Jio Gonzaga, and Dash Cuya.

Gabby Severino will coach the team with Charles Tiu serving as the team consultant.

In the previous season, Manila struggled with a 4-32 record.
