Renejay sets the record straight: He is 100-percent committed to Nexplay

Questions about Renejay “Renejay” Barcarse’s commitment to playing in the MPL Philippines resurfaced anew when Nexplay EVOS geared up for its Season 10 campaign.

On Saturday night, the 19-year-old social media star – who is also a vlogger, recording artist, and brand endorser, just to name a few – finally ended the discussion once and for all.

“One hundred percent talaga yung commitment ko sa team,” Renejay told Tiebreaker Times after Nexplay EVOS ended its six-game losing streak via a 2-1 reverse sweep of TNC at the ICITE Auditorium.

According to Renejay, he already affirmed his commitment to the team before the start of Season 10. And he did it by putting everything on the side and grinding his way back to his old, deadly form.

Renejay, after sitting out the team’s first few assignments, became a constant figure in Nexplay EVOS’ main five entering the second round. He then repaid the team’s faith by leading the team to its first win after losing six consecutive games.

After losing the opener against TNC, Renejay bounced back and delivered three kills and seven assists against five deaths on Dyroth in Game Two. He then went 0-0-0 in Game Three on Masha but provided the much-needed pressure on Robee “Yasuwo” Pormocille’s Claude all while making sure that the team’s side lanes were cleared.

Gusto naming ipakita na talagang ibibigay namin yung best namin,” said Renejay, who slid back to his old EXP role after playing at the roam to start the season.

After setting the record straight regarding his commitment, Renejay also bared that his goal remains the same – to help Nexplay EVOS win the elusive MPL Philippines championship.
