Rain or Shine backs Gilas journey to World Cup

Rain or Shine, which represented the country in last year’s Palembang Asian Games in Indonesia, has once again shown its commitment to Philippine basketball by supporting Gilas Pilipinas in their campaign in the 2019 FIBA World Cup.

And because of its noble deeds in the past, the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas has appointed the leading elastomeric paint in the country as the official paint partner of the team.

In a statement, Rain or Shine management said: “This is our little way of showing our commitment and support to uplift the game of basketball in the country.

“We are fully committed to our national team and we are one with the entire Filipino nation in wishing them the best of luck in their game. We have been cooperating with SBP in its effort to bring Philippine basketball to international level and prominence.”

Rain or Shine also stated that it is willing to lend its players to the national team in future international events, just as it did last year.

Co-owned by Raymond Yu and Terry Que, Rain or Shine made a supreme sacrifice last year when it accepted the challenge to represent the country in the Asian Games.

The core of the Elasto Painters – two-time MVP James Yap, Chris Tiu, Maverick Ahanmisi, Beau Belga, Raymond Almazan, and Gabe Norwood – teamed up with Fil-Am and NBA star Jordan Clarkson to represent the country in the quadrennial tournament.

The Rain or Shine organization is proud to be part of this worthy endeavor and will continue to aspire for the success of Gilas.
