Converge’s Plan A fell through by just a few inches—literally.
Now, the FiberXers are turning to Plan B.
Reigning IBL Finals MVP Travin Thibodeaux failed to secure clearance as an import for the 2026 PBA Governors’ Cup on Saturday after measuring 6-foot-6 1/4 inches—1/4 inch above the height limit for the season-ending conference.
As a result, Converge is bringing in Cameron Clark to replace Jamaal Franklin.
Clark, who stands at 6-foot-6, is set for his fourth stint in the PBA.
He previously played for NLEX in the 2021 Governors’ Cup, where he replaced KJ McDaniels, before suiting up for San Miguel two years later.
He also served as Hong Kong Eastern’s import during the 2024-25 Commissioner’s Cup.
Converge currently holds a 3-4 record in Group A and is riding a four-game losing streak.
The FiberXers are scheduled to face the Terrafirma Dyip next Tuesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
