Continuing their pursuit to innovate local volleyball, the Philippine Superliga will reinstate the special competition condition that compels all squads to play their entire roster for the Chooks to Go-Invitational Cup.
PSL competition director Anna Tomas explained that they are bringing back the rule to give all players a chance to play.
“We want all the players to get a chance to compete in the league,” said Tomas.
Teams will begin a match normally, with a rotation of six players.
By the second set, teams will have to play a different set of players from their bench.
After that set, teams have the freedom to play any lineup they choose moving forward.
The Invitaional Cup will also feature the Philippine Women’s National Volleyball Team, who will play six of the PSL’s main club teams.
