The Philippine Basketball Association has identified a new date for the 2022-23 Commissioner’s Cup games called off last week due to Typhoon Paeng.
In a memo issued Monday, matches supposed to take place last October 30 will now be played on December 2 at the Philsports Arena in Pasig.
The doubleheader will see Meralco and San Miguel Beer slug it out at 3:00 p.m., followed by the Magnolia-Rain or Shine tussle at 5:45 p.m.
This means that the eliminations will be stretched for another day. Originally scheduled to end on November 27, the league will now play two more dates to accommodate the games suspended due to inclement weather.
The PBA had to call off its September 25 activities due to Typhoon Karding, which affected the Meralco-NLEX and Ginebra-Converge clashes.
Initially slated to take place at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, the said meetings are set to be played on November 30 also at the PhilSports Arena.
