Jonmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna has parted ways with Blacklist International.
“So I left Tier One Entertainment and Blacklist International because I knew I would settle if I chose to stay. When it’s time to go, you can feel it,” said OhMyV33NUS in her Facebook post.
“I realized something very important in my life that I want to share, which is why I no longer feel anxiety about life transitions,” she continued.
After four years with Blacklist International, the Hall of Legends Inductee felt it was time to bid farewell to the Tier One-backed team and the Agents.
In a 2 a.m. post, she questioned herself, “Who is OhMyV33NUS without Blacklist International?”
This echoed the question she asked herself in 2020 before transitioning to Blacklist International from ONIC Philippines.
“I remember a few years ago when Wise and I had a major transition, I asked myself the same question. I had more anxiety back then and even posted ‘Who is OHMYV33NUS without Onic?’ Now, at the same time, 2 a.m., with the same thoughts: Who is OHMYV33NUS without Blacklist?”
During her four years with the team, OhMyV33NUS led them to numerous titles, making them the first team to win back-to-back championships in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines during the 7th and 8th seasons.
Additionally, she led her team to victory in the M3 World Championship, where her signature hero, Estes, was chosen as the championship skin. She also brought glory to the country by clinching the Gold Medal at the 31st Southeast Asian Games with her Blacklist teammates.
However, after the M4 World Championships and MPL PH Season 11, where they lost to ECHO (now Liquid ECHO) in the grand finals, she took a break from the MLBB professional scene for two seasons.
With her recent transition, she asked herself once again and found the answer she sought.
“Who is OHMYV33NUS without the trophies and the esports organization that everyone knows? I keep asking myself this question, and the answer is always the same,” she expressed.
“I’m at a point in my life where I know there’s something more, a higher version of me deep within. More than I’ve ever accomplished.”
OhMyV33NUS remains grateful to the teams she has worked with over the years and is now ready to take a new step for herself and her career.
“Each team and esports organization I’ve worked with before, I’ve always considered them my home. But I realized home is where I go. Home is anyone who cares about me. Home is the name I’ve built for myself: OHMYV33NUS. I’ve always got me, and I will never be afraid no matter where life takes me,” she concluded in her post.
Alongside OhMyV33NUS, Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo will also leave Blacklist International after playing for the team for two years. He announced his departure on the same platform on Wednesday evening.
