OhMyV33NUS’ late diversion play caps Blacklist’s epic sweep of Cignal in MPL PH

Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna’s late Diversion play powered Blacklist International’s epic Game Two comeback to score a 2-0 sweep against Cignal Ultra in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Seven regular season, Sunday afternoon.

The Tier One-backed squad has now won their seventh consecutive victory to remain perfect at the top of Group B with 18 points.

Cignal Ultra — who dominated Game Two right from the start — mounted a siege that left Blacklist International without a turret entering the 15-minute mark.

Blacklist International was able to take down Jones “Rhea” De Leon’s Yu Zhong and Bryan “Janus” Badando’s Bruno as consolation as the Cignal contingent called back the siege.

Upon reaching the river, the Cignal duo of Deejay “ImbaDeejay” Astibe (Estes) and Arvie “Aquaboy” Calderon was met by a four-man Blacklist International — who cast the Diversion inside the middle bush.

Blacklist took down ImbaDeejay and Aquaboy and secured the lord, which led to the win.

ESON nabbed the Smart MVP award with seven assists laced with a kill and three deaths in the Game Two win that lasted for 18 minutes and 37 seconds.

Cignal had the chance to even the series but ran out of minions in the middle of the siege, which started the series of unfortunate events.

It was an objective-based Game One for Blacklist International, taking down turret after turret to put up a sizable advantage against Cignal Ultra.

The early game aggression of OhMyV33NUS’ Mathilda gave Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario enough space to focus on objectives.

The former ONIC PH support finished the match with a game-high 10 assists, along with two kills en route to the Smart MVP award.

A maniac play from Kiel “Oheb” Soriano’s Alice put the exclamation point in the 15-2 Game One win, which lasted for 15 minutes and 22 seconds.

Cignal remained winless with three points through a 0-8 card in Group A.

Blacklist International will next face defending champions BREN Esports on Thursday at 6:00 pm. Meanwhile, Cignal looks to get its breakthrough win against Laus Playbook Esports on the same day at 4:30 pm.
