With just three days left before the deadline for applications to the 2025 PBA Draft, a total of 30 prospects have already submitted their forms to the league office in Pasig City.
Barring any late surprises, the potential top three picks in the September 7 proceedings have already declared: Juan Gomez de Liano, Dalph Panopio, and Jason Brickman.
Brickman, 33, is the most seasoned among the trio. The LIU Brooklyn product is one of only four NCAA Division I players in history to record 1,000 career assists.
He has seen action in Russia, Germany, Malaysia, and Taiwan, winning a championship and the Most Valuable Import award in the T1 League with Kaohsiung in 2022.
Most recently, he suited up for Strong Group-Philippines in the 2025 William Jones Cup.
Gomez de Liano and Panopio, both former Gilas Youth standouts, have also gained international experience after successful stints in the UAAP and NCAA Division I, respectively.
Other UAAP players who have applied for the draft include Ateneo’s Chris Koon, Sean Quitevis, and Gab Gomez; FEU’s L-Jay Gonzales; Adamson’s Mario Barasi and Joshua Yerro; UE’s Ethan Galang and Gjerard Wilson; La Salle’s Lian Ramiro; and UST’s Christian Manaytay.
From the NCAA, former MVP Will Gozum leads the list, joined by Kyle Tolentino, Mark Sangco, Reggs Gabat, and Robi Nayve.
Completing the pool of applicants are Jan Marc Almendras, Jay-R Basallote, Jonathan Gesalem, Raphael Mallari, John Manalang, Ram Mesqueriola, Chris Miller, Kobe Arevalo Pableo, Marc Poole, John Edcel Rojas, and Romeo Yu.
The Draft Combine is on September 4 and 5 at the Ynares Sports Arena.
