Farm Fresh ends skid, sweeps Ho Chi Minh City for fifth place in PVL Invitational

Farm Fresh snapped a four-game losing streak and secured fifth place after dominating Ho Chi Minh City, 25-10, 25-15, 25-15, in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference on Tuesday at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.

Trisha Tubu set the tone for the Foxies, scoring 10 of her 14 points in the opening set as Farm Fresh closed out its campaign on a winning note after dropping its previous four games in the elimination round.

Determined to finish the tournament on a high, the Foxies unleashed their full might in the opening frame, turning a slim 9-8 lead into a commanding 19-9 advantage with a blistering 10-1 run to take the first set.

The dominant start proved more than enough for Farm Fresh, which carried its momentum into the next two frames and continued to overwhelm the Vietnamese side to clinch fifth place.

“Yes, I appreciate the Ho Chi Minh team. This tournament, my team saw no good result. First, I think, I think, [we need to] change the volleyball style. After the last PVL [conference with] import, all team [made a] difference [in] team style,” said Farm Fresh head coach Koji Tsuzurabara.

“Last year’s PVL volleyball and this year’s PVL volleyball style are different. So, we need more practice. So, we need to react to the new volleyball. We have to look for a new volleyball style. Now, different: one year ago, PVL volleyball, and now volleyball—big difference,” he added.
