After losing its first game, EST Cola racked up five straight wins, the last one being its takedown of Nxled in the gold medal match, 25-22, 25-21, 25-19, to claim the 2026 PVL Invitational Conference championship on Tuesday at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
The Thai side became the second guest team to win a PVL championship since Japan’s Kurashiki Ablaze grabbed the 2023 Invitational title.
EST Cola made sure this time to unleash all its might against Nxled to avoid going to the limit, just like in their preliminary round face-off where the Thais needed a comeback for the ages to win, 26-24, 21-25, 21-25, 30-28, 15-12, last Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Chameleons still finished with the silver medal – their first podium finish in franchise history.
Earlier, PLDT secured bronze after beating Creamline, 25-20, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22.
