Personal care brand Blackwater has launched a donation drive for the people serving on the front lines of the battle against the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The frontliners working at the Pasig City General Hospital will serve as the beneficiary of the Ever Bilena-owned group’s noble move, where they will donate hygiene kits for daily use.
“Blackwater would like to support our heroes of the frontline who are risking their health and well-being to attend to COVID-19 patients,” read Blackwater’s post in its official Facebook page.
“We aim to provide the frontliners of Pasig City General Hospital hygiene kits which they can use daily.”
Besides hygiene kits, cash donations are also welcome via Globe GCash or online bank transfer.
The post stated that with every donation worth PHP 500, PCGH will receive soaps, toothpaste, facial wash, and shampoo for its frontliners. Still, any amount will be greatly appreciated.
This isn’t the first time that Blackwater, which has been playing in the Philippine Basketball Association since 2014, has made efforts in helping people manage the COVID-19 situation.
It has already donated thousands of its Deo soaps and antibacterial Deo Splash to local government units such as Caloocan, San Juan, the 2nd district of Eastern Samar, and Antipolo.
