AcadArena: UST scores come-from-behind win vs Ateneo to punch ML Grand Finals ticket

University of Sto. Tomas completed a comeback in Game Three, 2-1, against Ateneo de Manila University to enter the grand finals of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Alliance Games by AcadArena, Sunday.

The finale will take place in AcadArena’s CONQuest Festival this coming July 24, Sunday.

After trailing in the first 11 minutes of Game Three, the Teletigers made a crucial kill entering the 18th minute to complete its comeback attempt and earn their seat in the finals.

UST, who already established its position in the Lord pit, caught BRANDI’s Popol and Kupa to kick-start things. Daisey Gorgeous (Yve) quickly popped off his Real World Manipulation while Armen (Beatrix) followed it up with Nibiru’s Passion for the easy kill.

The Teletigers then secured the Lord before taking out kyle so gwapo (Karina) and Antianara (Diggie) to keep Ateneo undermanned in the defense.

LG Helios’ three-man party of Gene (Pharsa), Nyehosan (Terizla), and BRANDI put up a great defensive stand that saw them take out all but one of UST’s heroes. Unfortunately, it was not enough as the minions finished the job for the Teletigers.

UST took Game One through Emperorzxzz’s 6-2-1 KDA line on Terizla before UST evened the series up on the back of BRANDI’s nine-kill, one-death, six-assist performance on Melissa.

Meanwhile, Our Lady of Fatima and University of Batangas dispatched their respective foes to enter the semifinals of the losers’ bracket.

OLFU Esports gutted out a 2-1 win over the University of San Jose-Recoletos while the Brahmans made quick work of University of San Agustin, 2-0.
