Rachel Daquis has been in the limelight for the last 16 years.
With her on-court prowess on the Taraflex and her off-court activities, the 32-year-old has gained many, many fans.
But some are taking their fandom too far.
Thursday evening, the three-time 1st Best Outside Spiker in the PSL went to social media to narrate her close encounter with, according to her, a stalker.
“Please be careful of this man as he is dangerous and has stalked me since 2019, he uses multiple names such as Richie Guevara or Richard Luna,” opened Daquis’ note.
“It started with messages on my social media accounts and then enrolled to my RAD Fitness gym in Taytay, at that time it did not seem harmful, but then he followed me all the way to Pampanga and started asking for my personal information at my gym and continuously asks for my location and where I live. He would send uncomfortable and creepy messages every day on my Instagram account and would bribe my family and friends for my address and my whereabouts.”
Thursday, the man was able to locate Daquis in her subdivision.
Freaked out, Daquis decided to document it.
“He successfully found my subdivision and I caught him walking around looking for my house. He then approached me while I was at the bakery surrounded by my family and requested to talk to me and I felt startled and afraid while filming.”
Daquis, who has been helping out with COVID-19 relief operations in Rizal, could not help but be wary of the man, concerned with the safety and security of her loved ones.
The Daquis family is looking at ways to impose a restraining order against the alleged stalker.
