MPL PH: Team Falcons survives AP.Bren scare, completes reverse sweep

By: Jerod Orcullo

Team Falcons narrowly avoided disaster, staging a thrilling 2-1 reverse sweep against AP.Bren to secure its fifth win in MPL Philippines Season 15, Saturday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati.

Michael “KyleTzy” Sayson tallied the second savage of the season and the first of his career as his Joy tallied an 8/1/3 KDA to help guide the Falcons to a Game 3 win despite AP.Bren’s gritty performance.

In an exclusive interview with Tiebreaker Times, Falcons head coach Robert “Trebor” Sanchez disclosed that due to the new patch, the team is at a point where it is still trying to experiment with the changes in the META.

“Paunahan lang talaga sa patch. Kaya tingin ko kaya nakasabay sila samin kanina dahil sa patch lang din eh. Sobrang ano talaga kami ngayon eh, parang nangangapa pa kami. Hindi pa namin alam yung malakas na hero sa hindi,” Trebor stated.

Team Falcons bounced back big time in the second game of the series, keeping the young core of AP.Bren at bay thanks to Kyle Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel’s Luo Yi who dished out 12 assists through the 16 minutes and 30 seconds of action.

Looking to make a statement in the Philippine MLBB scene, AP.Bren thrashed Team Falcons as James “JamesPangks” Mendoza was simply unstoppable on Hayabusa, slicing through Falcons’ back line and putting up three kills and five assists without getting eliminated a single time.

After surviving AP.Bren’s scare, Team Falcons will look to move higher in the standings as it battles Aurora in the final match of the first leg of the tournament at 7:30 PM in the same venue.
