Almost three years ago, TNC manager Paulo Sy decided to take a step back from the team to work as the organization’s Vice President for Operations.
But with the team currently undergoing a major overhaul, it reached out for his help to ease the process. And Sy did not hesitate to say yes.
Sy announced on his Facebook page on Monday that he is now taking an active role in the team as its performance coach. He will be focusing on the non-Dota 2-side of the squad.
“After three years of supporting the team on the sidelines and handling the company’s business-related matters, it feels so good to be here again. I have officially started as the team’s performance coach focusing on the non-Dota aspects,” said Sy in the lengthy Facebook post.
“It just feels good to be back! To Tims, Armel, Gabbi, Marvin, Bok, Doms, and the whole TNC Predator organization, thank you for the trust and opportunity.”
Sy shared that it was support Timothy “Tims” Randrup — the longest-tenured player for TNC — who asked for his help since they are currently dealing with the transition process.
After missing the ONE Esports Singapore Major, TNC recently released foreign players Damien “kpii” Chok and Kim “Febby” Yong-min to revert to an all-Filipino roster with Southeast Asian Games gold medalists Marvin “Boomy” Rushton and Jun “Bok” Kanehara.
TNC will be competing against Fnatic, Neon Esports, T1, Boom Esports, Execration, and rookies Omega Esports and LilGun in Season Two of the Dota Pro Circuit-Southeast Asia upper division.
