NXP EVOS manager apologizes for mismanaging team

Nexplay EVOS team manager Baby Ignacio took full accountability for the events that transpired inside the boot camp which earned the ire of Setsuna “Akosi Dogie” Ignacio, Tuesday.

Last Monday, Dogie slammed the management on his Facebook livestream for allowing his players to drink inside the boot camp during weekends.

Nexplay EVOS team is currently at the Manila boot camp for the ongoing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight.

Aside from the partying, Dogie also revealed that the staff failed to accommodate Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcarse’s parents when they came to remove the star gold laner from the team boot camp.

In a vlog posted on Tuesday night, Ignacio apologized for the mishap and vowed to be better for the team moving forward.

“Mag so-sorry lang ako sa mga mismanagement ko po and I will take accountability po sa lahat ng nasabi ni Kuya Dogs, sa lahat ng na-express ni Renejay sa pag alis po dito sa NXP boot camp.

“Kanina po nung napanood ko yung mga videos sa live ni kuya Dogs, sa mga edit outs sa Tiktok and Youtube, nag express siya nung mga mismanagement po dito sa NXP camp at hindi po ako gumawa ng video na ‘to para i-deny or kung ano pa ‘man pong pangontra doon sa mga sinabi niya,” said Ignacio.

According to Ignacio, the staff organized a party to promote ‘bonding’ to the team celebrating their first week inside the newly-organized boot camp.

“Ang mali lang po namin is hinayaan namin na sumobra, sumobra in a way na… tama si Kuya Dogs na bakit yung mga babae pumupunta pa doon sa kabila, sa boot camp ng mga lalaki,” expressed Ignacio.

There are two houses in the Manila boot camp – housing both the Nexplay EVOS MPL team and the Nexplay Esports female Wild Rift squad. Ignacio cleared that the girls would only come to the MPL boot camp to ask for extra food and supplies.

Ignacio said that the management already prohibited the teams from visiting each other. Aside from this, he also said that drinking and partying are already prohibited by the management with violators bound to meet a fine or worse, termination. This came days before Dogie’s outburst in the live stream.

He also took responsibility for the missing players inside the boot camp – Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya and Renejay. Ignacio, though, did not reveal the reason for Renejay’s departure in the 21-minute video.

Nexplay EVOS is currently at the last spot with a 0-2 record tied with Bren Esports and Omega Esports.

The team is set to end its slump against ONIC PH on Friday at 6:00 PM.
