Gilas Pilipinas Boys saw their 2026 FIBA Under-18 Asia Cup campaign come to an end after falling to China, 117-103, in the quarterfinals on Friday at the Veer Savarkar Indoor Stadium in Ahmedabad, India, ending their hopes of qualifying for the 2027 Under-19 World Cup.
The Filipinos will now shift their focus to the 5th-8th classification phase, where they are assured of a higher finish than their 10th-place showing in the 2024 edition of the tournament, which was led by Cabs Cabonilas, Mark Esperanza, and Earl Medina.
