Echo successfully bounced back from a painful 2-0 loss at the hands of surging TNC Pro Team in Week 6 that reminded the team of their Season 9 experience. According to head coach Archie “TicTac” Reyes, the team management responded quickly after the loss to help the team recover and realign in the crucial stretch of the season.
“Nag-meeting kami na mag-reset tayong lahat kasi yung puntos dikit dikit. Nagkaroon kami ng mga open forum din kung ano yung mga problema namin so ayun,” TicTac said on what unfolded within Echo after their loss to TNC last week.
Game 1 was pretty much equal until Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno (Akai) secured the first lord in the 10th minute to take control of the map.
Alston “Sanji” Pabico (Valentina) then anchored Echo’s initiations as they conceded only two deaths while taking seven kills the rest of the way in a 15-minute conquest. He took the match MVP honors with a 4-2-8 KDA.
It looked like a sweep was on the way when Echo established a 6k net worth lead and only conceded their first death by the 13th minute but NXPE took some breathing space after scoring a 2-1 exchange in the 15th minute
NXPE then played accurately during the 20th-minute lord dance, helping Bien “BoyetDR” Chumacera (Karina) secure the evolved lord that they capped off with a 5-0 wipeout courtesy of Jeniel “YellyHaze” Bata-anon’s (Yve) three kills.
Game 3 boiled down to a 21st minute lord dance where KarlTzy (Akai) baited the lord then crowd controlled two enemy heroes to a wall with the Heavy Spin that Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya (Grock) complemented with a wildcharge leading to a triple kill and a wipeout to take the series.
