Nikko “Nikko” Bilocura proved his former team wrong after leading Execration to a 2-0 sweep against Smart Omega Esports in the Dota Pro Circuit 2021: Season Two-Southeast Asia, Wednesday night.
The former Omega Esports and Adroit offlaner’s Axe finished Game Two with 12 kills and 12 assists against six deaths in Game Two which sealed Execration’s second-straight win.
Nikko was part of the Adroit squad that was picked up by Omega Esports, but was later dropped by the organization prior to the league’s opening season.
It was a lopsided match for Execration as the Drow Ranger of Justin “Tino” Grimaldo never had the chance to scale up.
Jinn “Palos” Lamatao continued his fine play for Execration. He dominated his match up with Tino and ended the match with a perfect 8-0-11 line along with a game-high 25,038 net worth.
Execration midlaner Yuri “Yowe” Pacaña also did the damage with his Beastmaster, registering seven kills, two deaths, and 12 assists while Ralph “RR” Peñano recorded game-high 18 assists along with a kill and a death playing Elder Titan.
The series-clinching Game Two lasted for 34 minutes and 35 seconds.
Tino was held to just a kill, six deaths, and six assists while Mc Nicholson “Mac” Villanueva and Sam “Sam_H” Hidalgo carried the fight for Omega with a 9-7-5 and 5-4-14 kill-death-assist tally, respectively.
Back in Game One, it was Palos’ Antimage who proved to be the difference-maker as he steered Execration to a tight 37-36 win in 53 minutes and four seconds of game time.
Execration, who lost its first two outings, bounced back since scoring a 2-0 sweep against former top-ranked Southeast Asian squad Fnatic.
The team is now tied with Boom Esports and Omega Esports at the second spot with identical 2-2 standings.
The Smart-backed squad, who started the season strong after two consecutive wins, suffered its second-straight defeat after falling to TNC last week.
Execration will be going up against OB Esports x Neon on May 1 while Smart Omega will try and bounce back against Southeast Asia powerhouse Fnatic on May 5.
