MPL PH: Technical Omega outlasts Blacklist as Kelra registers second savage

Duane “Kelra” Pillas recorded the second Savage of his career, leading Omega Esports to a reverse 2-1 sweep of Blacklist International in MPL Philippines Season Nine on Saturday night.

Objectives was the name of the game in the winner-take-all Game Three.

Omega Esports, who fielded in a jungler Claude at the hands of Dean “Raizen” Sumagui, avoided major objectives early in the match while Blacklist International, which has Lancelot as its core, played offensively to hits the team’s timing.

The first kill was recorded in the seven-minute mark with Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog’s Khufra erasing Kiel “OHEB” Soriano’s Brody.

Omega Esports’ long wait bore fruit entering the 12-minute mark after securing the first Lord of the game. The team then took out all of Blacklist International’s outside and inner turrets to gain map advantage.

In the final play in the Luminous Lord pit, Duane “Kelra” Pillas’ Beatrix recorded a Savage — the first this Season Nine — to cap off the reverse sweep.

The reigning MSC MVP scored eight of Omega Esports’ 10 kills along with an assist in the 10-4 Game Three win in 15 minutes and 49 seconds.MPL-PH-9-Omega-def-Blacklist-Game-3 MPL PH: Technical Omega outlasts Blacklist as Kelra registers second savage ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

Omega Esports (3-4) is now tied with Blacklist International (1-6) at the sixth spot with seven points each.

Blacklist International’s surgical approach in Game One buried Omega Esports’ composition to the ground.

With Kent “Kevier” Lopez’s Lancelot armed with the Demon Slayer emblem, the reigning back-to-back champions were able to secure all three Cryoturtles, the first two Lords, and all nine turrets of Omega Esports past the 13-minute mark of the opener.

Blacklist International picked up the third Lord of the contest in the 16:10-mark in hopes of ending the match but failed to capitalize the Luminous Lord with Omega Esports putting up a tough defensive stand inside its base.

Three minutes later, Salic “Hadji” Imam (Pharsa) popped his Feathered Air Strike on Patrick “E2MAX” Caidic’s Yve. Then, OHEB (Beatrix) fired his Renner’s Apathy to finish off the Omega Esports support. This allowed the team to take the fourth Lord and end the match.

OHEB recorded seven of Blacklist International’s 9 kills in the dominant 9-0 Game One win in 19 minutes and 58 seconds. He also had two assists, putting his kill participation at a hundred percent.MPL-PH-9-Omega-def-Blacklist-Game-1 MPL PH: Technical Omega outlasts Blacklist as Kelra registers second savage ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news
