Moonton denies Burn X Flash protest vs Falcon

There will be no rematch between Burn X Flash and Falcon Esports as Moonton denied the former’s protest, the organization announced on Tuesday evening.

Burn X Flash reported a teleportation bug that transpired during the 19th minute of their match against Falcon Esports. The Cambodian squad noted that the bug played a huge role in the loss.

However, Moonton Games said that the issue did not significantly change the competitive fairness of the match.

“MOONTON Games is aware of a teleportation bug that happened in the match between Burn X Flash and Falcon Esports. As assessed by the M4 committee, the issue did not significantly change or impact the competitive fairness of the match. With this, there will be no rematch, as also aligned with the teams,” said Moonton in a statement.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, and we are working on resolving this issue to improve the tournament experience further. Going forward, we encourage all teams to promptly report concerns to their respective referees,” the statement continued.

Burn X Flash, who already dropped to the lower bracket after losing to Incendio Supremacy, is currently going up against Blacklist International.

The team, led by Filipino gold laner Jhonwin “Hesa” Vergara, is playing without head coach John “Zico” Dizon as he tested positive to COVID-19.
