Super Marco leads Falcons AP.Bren to dominant start at MSC

By: Jan Marcus Montevirgen

Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano and Falcons AP.Bren are off to a strong start in their Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup (MSC) bid, sweeping Xianyou Gaming 2-0 on Wednesday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Super Marco was unstoppable with his Roger in Game 1, securing most of the kills with a perfect KDA of six kills, two assists, and no deaths in the 9-1 landslide score.

However, the Chinese representatives put up a good fight against Falcons AP.Bren in Game 2, with Kiel “Kielvj” de Guzman’s Arlott leading the frontlines at every turn.

It wasn’t until the 19th-minute lord fight that Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel (Lou Yi) disrupted XYG’s composure.

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang game actually became available in China only in April 2023.

Falcons AP.Bren coach Francis “Duckey” Glindro praised the Chinese representatives for their strong performance despite having played the game for less than a year.

“It’s been almost a year now since MLBB has started in China, so we actually expected them to put up a good fight, and Game 2 shows that they have improved a lot,” Coach Duckey said during the post-match conference.

Falcons AP.Bren will next face Cloud9 Esports and Team Falcons on July 7 at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., respectively.

Also in Group D, Falcon Esports defeated North American representative Cloud9 with a 2-0 sweep.

In Group B, FNATIC Onic swept Team Falcons 2-0, with Gilang “SANZ” shining in both games, using Pharsa in Game 1 and Aurora in Game 2.

He finished both games with seven kills, 22 assists, and only one death in total.
