In a groundbreaking collaboration that promises to reshape the landscape of international basketball fashion, Filipino-American sensation Jordan Clarkson and ANTA Group Philippines have joined forces for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023.
Under the terms of the partnership, Clarkson is set to exclusively don ANTA footwear throughout his appearances in the upcoming FIBA World Cup games.
The contract was signed in the presence of the Utah Jazz forward himself, ANTA Group Philippines General Manager JP Paglinawan, and ANTA Group Philippines Marketing Manager Mikko Abello.
JP Paglinawan, ANTA Group Philippines General Manager, weighed in on the momentous deal, stating, “The FIBA World Cup is arguably one of the top basketball tournaments in the world. To have one of the top players in the world showcase ANTA at the highest level of competition reinforces our confidence that our brand produces the best basketball product in the market right now.”
Beyond the FIBA World Cup, an even more intriguing prospect emerges on the horizon—a potential extension of this partnership into the upcoming NBA season. The tantalizing possibility of seeing Clarkson light up the NBA court while adorned in ANTA gear adds another layer of excitement for fans and fashion enthusiasts alike.
Mikko Abello, ANTA Group Philippines Marketing Manager, exuded delight at the partnership, highlighting the significance of having Clarkson represent ANTA on an international platform.
“We are overjoyed to have Jordan choose to wear ANTA in international basketball’s biggest stage, especially with the Philippines hosting the quadrennial tournament. It’s an exciting time for the brand this year, and having Jordan be a part of it only makes it even more special,” he said.
