Galeries replaces Helena with returning Chuewulim, Nxled chooses Hart over Jiang for PVL Opener

Galeries Tower replaced initial import Monique Helena with Sutadta Chuewulim, who will be ready to play when the Highrisers open their 2024 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference campaign on Tuesday.

Chuewulim will mark her return to the PVL after playing for BanKo Perlas Spikers back in the 2019 Reinforced Conference. She also suited up for Cagayan Valley when the league was still called Shakey’s V-League.

Chuewulim is a 5-foot-8 outside hitter from Thailand and is 31 years old.

Chuewulim and Galeries will face Nxled in Group A on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Philsports Arena to kick off the Reinforced Conference.

Meanwhile, the Chameleons also had problems as they will use Meegan Hart as their import but have also listed Xuanyao Jiang in their lineup.

Hart is a 6-foot-2 middle blocker from the University of Colorado. On the other hand, Xuanyao Jiang is an outside hitter from China.

The rookies of Nxled, fifth overall pick Lucille Almonte and 17th selection Razel Aldea, will also not play as they will be in street clothes prior to the match.
