Eya Laure, Ara Galang brace for tough closing stretch

Eya Laure and Ara Galang aim to avoid any letdown as Chery Tiggo approaches the final stretch of a heated semifinals race in the 2024 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.

After a stunning loss to Farm Fresh almost a month ago, Chery Tiggo has since turned it around.

The team has secured crucial victories over defending champion Creamline, Petro Gazz, Nxled, and Cignal for a 6-2 record.

Choco Mucho and PLDT still lead the pack with 7-1 cards. The Crossovers, meanwhile, are currently tied with the Cool Smashers and the Angels in the third to fifth spots.

The HD Spikers remain lurking behind, carrying a 5-3 record.

Laure emphasized the importance of the team continuing to work together and support each other, as it plays a pivotal role in uplifting the team’s morale, as evident in their recent success.

Laure delivered an outstanding performance in Chery Tiggo’s 26-24, 25-20, 26-24 victory over Cignal.

She scored a game-high 16 points on 11 attacks, three aces, and two blocks, along with 13 excellent receptions, while Galang added 11 markers.

Lumalabas ang aming pinagtatrabahuhan at pinagpapaguran,” said Galang.
