Team Liquid dominates from start to finish, punches ticket to M7 playoffs

Team Liquid PH punched its ticket to the playoffs after sweeping Myanmar’s Yangon Galacticos, 2-0, in Round 4 of the M7 World Championship Swiss Stage on Thursday at the MPL Arena XO Hall in Jakarta, Indonesia.

With the win, both Philippine representatives have secured playoff berths, keeping Team Liquid’s Golden Road aspirations alive.

The Golden Road-contending squad controlled Game 1 from start to finish, building an 11,100 gold lead before closing out the 21-minute match.

Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya earned the MVP citation after key pickoffs on YG’s Htet “Stitch” Aung (Granger) ignited Team Liquid’s objective-focused team fights.

The Filipino squad maintained their dominance in Game 2, with Sanford on Gloo turning a disadvantageous 10th-minute lord fight into a decisive advantage for Team Liquid.

From there, Team Liquid cruised to a 15-minute victory, completing the sweep.

Both Aurora Gaming PH and Team Liquid now await the conclusion of the Swiss Stage before the playoffs draw on January 17.
