Edward explains decision to leave Blacklist International for Aurora

In search of a new beginning, Blacklist International pioneer Edward “Edward” Dapadap has decided to take on a new challenge with Aurora in the upcoming MPL Philippines Season 14.

The 19-year-old EXP laner revealed that he wanted to start fresh and gain new experiences, which is why he chose to join the new MPL PH squad after spending the last four years with the Tier One-backed team.

“Wala, para lang experience, bagong experience since bagong team din. Tingin ko mas okay,” said Edward during the MPL PH Season 14 media day.

Edward entered the league as a 15-year-old multi-role player who specialized in both the mage and fighter positions. Over his nine-season stint with Blacklist International, he experienced almost everything the game had to offer.

After helping set the organization’s foundation during its first two seasons, the Hall of Legends inductee teamed up with Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario, Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna, Hadji “Salic” Imam, and Kiel “OHEB” Soriano, creating a dominant force in the ML scene.

Together, they won three MPL Philippines championships and the prestigious M3 World Championship, marking one of the most dominant runs in the game’s history.

Edward also experienced the lows of his career when Blacklist International finished in last place during Season 9 following the absence of the V33Wise duo.

Despite this, the two-time MPL PH Finals MVP will be remembered as a loyal soldier who never took a break, even when others did.

“Nung nag-resign si Boss Rada [Ocampo] nung Season 11, dapat ba-bounce na rin ako nun. Kaso pinusuan ko ‘yung magiging lineup namin, pero ‘yun talaga dapat una pa lang aalis na ako ng Blacklist,” shared Edward.

The “Boss Rada” Edward refers to is former Blacklist International manager Elrasec “Rada” Ocampo, whose hands-on approach helped the team flourish and dominate the ML:BB landscape over the past few years.

Edward mentioned that Rada’s move to Aurora, which took over the slot vacated by Minana EVOS, motivated him to make the transfer.

“Pero dahil nga [pumunta] si Boss Rada sa Aurora, [sumama] na ko sa kanila.”

At Aurora, Agent Zero will join familiar faces including head coach Aniel “Master the Basics” Jiandani, assistant coach Dexter “DEX STAR” Alaba, marketing strategist Pauline “Valseana” Mendoza, Renejay “Renejay” Barcarse, and Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo.

Completing the squad are former RSG PH star Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto, ex-Minana gold laner Jan “Domeng” Del Mundo, and former TNC captain and coach Ben “Benthings” Maglaque.

OhMyV33NUS and Wise are also part of the organization.
