OhMyV33NUS named captain of Blacklist

The Queen has arrived.

After a forgettable season with his former team, Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna is set to lead Blacklist International in the upcoming MPL-Philippines Season Seven as its new team captain, the organization announced Friday.

Joining the former ONIC PH skipper is long-time teammate Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario and rookie Kiel “Oheb” Soriano from Amihan Esports, who already played for the Tier One-backed squad in the ONE Esports MPL Invitational.

Meanwhile, former Blacklist team captain Dexter “DEXSTAR” Alaba will be taking a step back, setting for the sixth man role.

Completing the roster are tank Mark “Eson” Gerardo and offlaner Edward “Edward” Dapadap.

The team is at Group B joining Omega Esports, Execration, Nexplay Esports, and Laus Playbook Esports.

Blacklist International had a promising Season Six, capping off their run with a 5th-8th place finish. However, the team was forced to revamp after the sudden departure of rising star Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol.

Kairi was a vital piece in Blacklist’s run in the previous season, but the child prodigy requested for a trade to ONIC PH which then landed Wise and OhMyV33NUS to Blacklist.

Blacklist capped off the overhaul by sending Kurt “R1ddler” Dullon and Archie “Killer” Valencia to Team Payaman and Arvie “Aqua” Calderon to Cignal Ultra.

The new-look Blacklist roster will get to test their mettle when the MPL-Philippines Season Seven raise its curtains on March 19.
