Assessment
The Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals managed only two wins last season.
After two-years of off-court drama (literally), the school tapped former Brigadeers coach and former dean of the school’s IT program Ariel Sison as head coach. This move, the school is hoping, gives the Generals a stern hand that will discipline the team’s players.
This will serve as a good jumpstart to a once-promising program. This season though would not be as bright for the Generals.
Even with keeping the core of Francis Munsayac, Sidney Onwubere, Jorem Morada, and Hamadou Laminou and even with the return of Igee King, the bench of the Generals is still as shallow as ever. Irvin Mendoza and Jervin Guzman have shown glimpses during the pre-season but have not displayed the same consistency night in and night out during the Filoil tourney.
This season will be another long year for the Generals but hopefully nothing bad happens on the week of September 22 for the team.
