NLEX has become home to Don Trollano.
So, it was a no-brainer for him to put ink on the dotted line when he was offered the opportunity to stay with the MVP ball club for a few more years.
Still with one year left in his current contract, the 29-year-old recently signed a fresh two-year extension that will make him a Road Warrior until 2025.
“Wala nang isip-isip,” he told Tiebreaker Times with a smile shortly after helping his side top Ginebra to stay alive in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup, Friday night.
Trollano is part of the 2015 draft class, meaning that he can explore free agency freely after the ongoing season based on the league’s new FA ruling.
Many expected the seven-year vet to exercise his right. Moreover, he was linked to either reuniting with Yeng Guiao in Rain or Shine or college head coach Leo Austria in San Miguel.
Signing, though, did not cross his mind as the Adamson product already aims for stability after being traded thrice already in his career.
“Dito na e, parang home na.
“I feel at home na rito, Ayoko namang palipat-lipat na e, e ako naman lagi naman ako nate-trade. I want to stay na lang sa NLEX,” he added.
And he wasted no time expressing gratitude to NLEX, firing 26 points on 9-of-17 shooting with six rebounds to beat the Kings — all that while battling cramps.
“Para masuklian din ‘yung tiwala na binigay nila sa akin,” he said.
