Topex Robinson has found his big man.
Nigerian student-athlete Henry Agunanne has bid farewell to Centro Escolar University and is set to move to De La Salle University on Thursday.
Robinson confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times.
“We are happy and excited that Henry chose to go to DLSU,” expressed Robinson.
Agunanne, who stands at 6-foot-11, has been on the radar of numerous UAAP schools.
He turned heads during his freshman year with the Scorpions, averaging 10.7 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game.
Though the likes of University of Santo Tomas and Far Eastern University showed interest in him, Agunanne ultimately decided to go to La Salle.
Of course, the scene at CEU’s gym on Wednesday morning was emotional as Agunanne spoke his final words to his now-former teammates, according to multiple sources closely monitoring the situation.
And the school wishes nothing but the best for him.
“We would also like to thank CEU, their management, and, of course, Coach Jeff (Perlas) for allowing Henry to transfer to us,” said Robinson.
Agunanne will have to sit out one year before being eligible for UAAP Season 87. He still has three years of eligibility left.
