After three seasons with De La Salle University, EJ Gollena has decided to move on.
The 6-foot-3 swingman has parted ways with the Green Archers, head coach Topex Robinson confirmed to Tiebreaker Times on Thursday.
Gollena’s next destination has yet to be determined. While he has exhausted his UAAP eligibility, he still has two years of playing eligibility remaining should he transfer to the NCAA.
He is the second Green Archer to leave the program this year despite still having remaining collegiate eligibility, following Kean Baclaan, who turned professional by joining Caloocan in the MPBL last January.

During his stint with La Salle, Gollena played a key role in the program’s success, helping the Green Archers capture two UAAP men’s basketball championships and two UAAP 3×3 titles.
In 5-on-5 play, he appeared in 48 games, averaging 4.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per contest. In his third and final UAAP season, he posted averages of 5.3 points and 2.7 rebounds.
With his UAAP chapter now behind him, Gollena begins the search for the next stop in his collegiate career, where he hopes to maximize his remaining two years of eligibility.
