Abel Galliguez can go to sleep tonight.
Initial CT scan and x-rays showed that the 5-foot-9 guard out of John Brown University suffered no facial and cervical fractures — only a fracture of the tip of the nasal bone.
Moreover, according to Alaska team doctor Facundo Sun, there are no signs of a concussion so far except for a slight headache.
“The nasal fracture will be addressed later as outpatient referral to an EENT,” read the PBA’s statement.
“Presently no neurological symptoms and Abel is conscious, coherent, except for a slight headache.”
Galliguez did need stitches, 20 inches in total, due to a laceration on the left eyebrow.
During Alaska’s do-or-die game vs TNT, the diminutive floor general left with 9:47 remaining in the fourth quarter. He fell badly from a mid-air collision with Ray Parks Jr.
He crashed head first onto the floor, causing a gash above his left eye.
Galliguez was stretchered out of the AUF Sports & Cultural Center.
The 30-year-old will be monitored both in Quest Hotel and once he gets back to Manila.
