Yopaj dominates as Neon sweeps Lilgun in DPC

Through Erin “Yopaj” Ferrer’s dominant performances, Filipino squad OB Esports x Neon is making a case for another Major run after sweeping Lilgun, 2-0, in the Dota Pro Circuit 2021: Season Two-Southeast Asia upper division, Wednesday afternoon.

The ONE Esports Singapore Major breakout star went perfect in the 38-7 Game One decimation of OB.Neon, putting up a monster line of 11-0-14 with his signature Puck in just 22 minutes and 36 seconds of game time.

Aside from Yopaj, it was OB.Neon support Jaunuel “Jaunuel” Arcilla who made the dominant outing possible as he finished with seven kills, three deaths, and nine assists playing Tiny. Meanwhile, carry John Anthony “Natsumi-“ Vargas’ Bloodseeker also went spotless with 12 kills and 12 assists.

It was total domination for the Filipinos as they held Lilgun midlaner Altanginj “x123” Bilguun (Troll Warlord) to just a kill, six deaths, and two assists in the opener.

Mongolian carry Sukhbat “Sanctity-” Otgondavaa’s Kunkka, on the other hand, had a kill, six deaths, and three assists.

Already ahead by a point, OB.Neon went right for the jugular in Game Two with Yopaj unleashing a monster Void Spirit game to seal the 2-0 sweep.

The 19-year-old midlaner registered 15 kills, four deaths, and nine assists in the 40-23 Game Two win which lasted for just 28 minutes and 57 seconds.

With the win, OB.Neon forced a tie with regional rival Fnatic at the third spot with identical 3-1 cards. Meanwhile, Lilgun remained dead-last with a 0-5 standing.

OB.Neon will have the chance to break the tie against Fnatic on May 13.
