Althea Franco, University of the East
Returning for the Red Warriors, Althea Franco is now a third-year BA Broadcasting student and a junior news writer for UE’s The Dawn.
Her experience hosting events that range from corporate gatherings to governance and school programs has honed her skills for sideline reporting.
Beyond campus, she serves as a university scholar and a local tourism ambassador for her hometown, Bocaue, through its Municipal Government Tourism Office.
Sophie Espiritu, De La Salle University
New to the sidelines this season, Sophie Espiritu is a fourth-year double major in BS and MS Industrial Engineering.
A true-blooded Lasallian who attended DLSU Manila’s senior high school program, she has followed the UAAP since she was 12, inspired by her parents’ passion for the league.
Sophie is also active in her organization’s marketing and events, serves as an industrial engineering representative to the student council, and is a multisport athlete, playing badminton and golf.
Beyond sports, she dabbles in contemporary, folk, street, and ballet dances.
Frankie Buenvenida, Adamson University
Adamson University enlists Frankie Buenvenida, a 2nd-year BS Psychology student and women’s basketball player, as its courtside reporter for the men’s team.
Frankie has been a standout in women’s basketball since childhood, participating in the first-ever SLAM Rising Stars Classic for Women in 2023 and becoming the youngest JR. WNBA National Camp Finalist at just 11 years old in 2018.
She recalls watching the league as a seven-year-old, including the 2013 Finals between Jeric and Jeron Teng.
Juliana Marasigan, Far Eastern University
FEU continues the tradition of showcasing local talent with Juliana Marasigan, a 2nd-year BA International Studies student from NU Laguna, taking over for Mae Reyes.

Host school UST highlights Sidney Oliva, a former volleyball player turned sideline reporter.
Her years on the court taught her valuable lessons in teamwork and success, which she now applies to her reporting. Inspired by UAAP legends Alyssa Valdez and Jia Morado,
Sidney brings insight, passion, and dedication to her role as she documents the Season 88 action.
With all eight correspondents coming from their respective schools, Cignal and the UAAP showed their commitment to nurturing talent on the sidelines.
