Adamson University suffered yet another loss loss against National University in the UAAP Season 85 Women’s Volleyball.
But unlike their first round encounter that saw the Lady Falcons drag the defending champions to five sets, Adamson suffered a sweep on Wednesday at the Filoil Ecooil Centre.
Lady Falcons rookie Trisha Tubu pointed out that communication was the missing piece in their defeat.
“Yun po kinulang kami sa pagiging — ‘yung communication namin sa loob is nawala po, and ‘yung saya namin sa loob kinulang din po siya. Kaya ayun po unfortunately natalo,” lamented Tubu, who was limited to just nine points on 8-of-30 spiking efficiency.
Tubu also admitted that her aggressiveness was not at its peak, but she vowed to make up for it in their next game. The Lady Falcons are determined to work on their communication and regain their aggressiveness in their upcoming matches.
Adamson head coach Jerry Yee believes in his team and trusts that they can overcome any hurdle that comes their way. Tubu also confirmed that her team brushed off the loss, knowing that they could bounce back immediately in their next game.
“Ngayon po, parang wala lang ‘yung pagkatalo namin kasi kilala naman po ‘yung team namin na manalo-matalo, buo pa din po kami, maingay pa din kami, masaya kami,” said the 5-foot-8 spikers out of Adamson High School.
“And alam ko din po sa kanila na babawi po talaga sila sa mga next games. And babawi po ‘yung team namin sa next game po namin.”
The Lady Falcons are currently in a three-way logjam with NU and the University of Sto. Tomas, with a 7-3 win-loss slate. Their next game is against the University of the East, where they will aim to recover and get back in the win column.
Adamson is determined to make a comeback in the upcoming games. Their recent loss against the National University will serve as a wake-up call for them to work on their communication and aggressiveness.
