Trisha Tubu credits Master Shimizu for Farm Fresh progress

Trisha Tubu and the rest of the Farm Fresh Foxies are racing against time to establish their on-court chemistry a week before the much-anticipated opening of the 2024 Premier Volleyball League season.

Tubu said during the PVL Media Day at the TV5 Media Center that the team is still in the process of improving their connection inside the court, with the coaching staff trying out different player combinations in their past tune-up matches.

“Okay naman po so far, medyo nahihirapan lang po ngayon sa playing time dahil yun nga naghahanap ng connections. Tina-try mag-gel yung team kaya ayun. Ngayon, ikutan kami,” said Tubu.

The 23-year-old former Adamson star also said that their training under Japanese coach Master Shimizu helped her and the rest of the team a lot in terms of improving their skills and staying disciplined, both of which she believes will be a great asset come game time.PVL-AFC-Farm-Fresh-vs.-Galeries-Trisha-Tubu-3249-scaled Trisha Tubu credits Master Shimizu for Farm Fresh progress News PVL Volleyball - philippine sports news

Si Coach Shimizu po kasi is perfectionist talaga,” said Tubu.

The pride of Concepcion, Tarlac showed a glimpse of her bright potential in the Second All-Filipino Conference, finishing the tournament as the fourth-best scorer with a 34.98 efficiency rate as Farm Fresh ended the tourney with a 2-9 card.

Now, Tubu wants to turn all that potential into victories and help the Foxies climb up from their tenth-place finish last conference.

Sana mas makatulong ako sa team and mas gumanda yung standing namin,” said Tubu.
