TNC Predator fined Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte after he allegedly made inappropriate remarks during a public game, the organization announced on Wednesday.
During one of his matches, Gabbi came across Malaysian streamer Hishiko and got into a heated exchange. He reportedly sent messages that say “u talk too much for a girl” and “do u have period right now.”
The 22-year-old carry explained on his Twitter account that he only wanted a ‘chill’ pub game. He felt annoyed that Hishiko and another player in the game were trash-talking too much.
Gabbi and Hishiko both took it out on Twitter but have since deleted their tweets.
TNC bared that they are aware of what transpired and will be fining Gabbi for his inappropriate actions.
“We have been made aware of Gabbi’s unacceptable behavior in one of his ranked games last night,” the statement read.
“As a professional player, he has the responsibility to be a role model to his audience, especially to the Dota 2 community. He will be fined and we will take necessary steps to prevent this from happening again.”
Gabbi has already apologized for his behavior towards Mishiko in his official Twitter account.
“In one of my ranked games yesterday, I displayed wrong behavior towards one player in the opposing team. I made sexist remarks, which I now understand are totally not acceptable. Regardless of the situation, no one should display toxic behavior inside and outside the game,” said Gabbi.
“Moreover, professional players should always set an example to their fans and followers. I sincerely apologize to Hishioka and to the rest of the Dota 2 community. I will use this experience to become a better person.”
