STA. ROSA — Despite securing the victory, PLDT head coach Rald Ricafort and team captain Rhea Dimaculangan remained unsatisfied after their slow start against Nxled nearly jeopardized their chances on Thursday afternoon.
The High Speed Hitters notched their third consecutive win with a score of 22-25, 25-17, 25-11, 25-20, but had to first overcome their first-set loss and a tightly contested fourth frame. In that set, the Chameleons, led by Chiara Permentilla, unleashed consecutive aces, posing a threat to extend the match at the Sta. Rosa Sports Complex here.
The 32-year-old playmaker out of University of Santo Tomas wants to see a more composed High Speed Hitters side in their next game against Gerflor but admitted that everything will have to start with her.
PLDT will face off against the Defenders on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.
“More on paano namin dadalhin yung sarili namin tapos hanggang sa maging isa ulit kami as a team para kahit anong sitwasyon na dumating sa amin kailangan namin i-handle.”
