Savannah Davison’s grind pays off with long-awaited PVL MVP honor

For years, Savannah Davison had been the relentless spark for PLDT — a high-flying scorer, a tireless defender, and the emotional heartbeat of the High Speed Hitters.

On Sunday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, her grind finally reached its pinnacle.

At long last, the Fil-Canadian star claimed her first-ever Premier Volleyball League Most Valuable Player award, standing tall as the centerpiece of the 2025 PVL Invitational’s individual honors.

The 26-year-old Fil-Canadian spiker ranked third in overall scoring despite missing a game in the eliminations. She tallied a total of 94 points off 81 attacks, nine blocks, and four service aces across four outings.

Davison further proved her all-around game, ranking second in spiking with a 38.57-percent success rate; third in service at 0.22 aces per set; sixth in blocking with 0.50 per set; and seventh in receiving with a 30.00-percent efficiency.

She wasn’t alone in the spotlight.
