Sanji shines as Team Liquid Echo sweeps RSG in MPL PH playoffs debut

Team Liquid ECHO dominated in their first playoff match, pulling off a 3-0 sweep of RSG Philippines to secure at least a top three finish in the MPL Philippines Season 13 playoffs at SM Southmall on Wednesday.

Now, they await the winner of the Team Falcons AP.Bren – Blacklist International match later in the day to dispute the first ticket to the Mid-Season Cup in Riyadh this July.

TLPH Coach Archie “Tictac” Reyes revealed that they were able to score a sweep against RSG after figuring in close series head-to-heads in the past three playoffs.

“Di naman expected na ma-sweep namin sila ngayon. Maganda lang talaga nilaro nung mga bata namin tsaka yung draft maganda din pati comms din nila,” he said.

“Yung mga past games kasi namin, sa comms kami nagkukulang. Ngayon palong-palo talaga yung mga bata.”

In Game 1, TLPH turned a close early game encounter into a rout after Alston “Sanji” Pabico (Novaria) gunned down two kills during an 8th-minute skirmish to secure the first lord objective of the match.

The M4 World Champions did not concede any deaths the rest of the way as Sanji’s MVP performance led the way for the opening victory in 14 minutes. He completed a flawless 5-0-4 KDA.

TLPH followed up their rousing opening frame with a lopsided Game 2 affair as Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno (Baxia) secured two turtles and two lord objectives for another 14-minute victory. He bagged the game MVP award with a 3-2-9 KDA.

Sanji once again took over in Game 3 to complete the sweep.
