The Philippines will take center stage in Asian volleyball as it hosts the inaugural AVC Women’s Champions League from April 20 to 27, 2025.
The tournament, a rebranded version of the Asian Club Championships, is organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) in partnership with Volleyball World.
The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) and the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) will serve as local organizers.
AVC President Ramon Suzara made the official announcement on Friday, unveiling the new AVC Champions League logo, which symbolizes the tournament’s commitment to growth, excitement, and heightened competition.
The competition will feature up to 12 champion clubs from across Asia, representing all five continental zones.
These teams will compete for a total prize pool of $50,000, with the top two finishers earning slots in the 2025 FIVB Club World Championships, where they will face the best club teams from other continents.
Teams will be divided into four pools of three, with matches spanning eight days to determine the best women’s club team in Asia.
