Sports Vision, the organizer of the Premier Volleyball League, remains committed to ABS-CBN.
This is the stance of president Ricky Palou unless they are told by the network giant that they can no longer carry sports in its line.
“We have an agreement with ABS-CBN, and until we hear from them that they can’t cover us, we’ll keep our commitment to them,” said Palou during a guesting on The CPT Crossover Podcast, presented by SMART Sports and supported by LGR.
The V-League moved to ABS-CBN Sports+Action in 2016 after years of airing in tape delay on GMA News TV.
However, the start of the league’s 2020 season has been suspended due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The network has had its franchise renewal bid junked by the lower house last Friday. ABS-CBN has been off-air since May 5.
For Palou, it does not matter if ABS-CBN would air their games either online or through a block time with another network.
“Right now, we are still committed to ABS-CBN.”
