Brooke Van Sickle, Savi Davison receive invitations to join Alas Women

Alas Pilipinas Women are making moves to fortify their roster ahead of a grueling 2025 campaign, extending formal invitations to Petro Gazz’s Brooke Van Sickle and PLDT’s Savannah Davison.

This year promises a packed schedule for the national team, with multiple AVC tournaments, the SEA V.League, and the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Bangkok, Thailand.

In preparation, the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) is actively reinforcing the squad with top-tier talent.

PVL president and PNVF National Teams chairman Ricky Palou confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times, revealing that both stars are being courted to strengthen Alas Pilipinas as it gears up for this demanding international season.

Van Sickle is currently under USA Volleyball, while Davison remains affiliated with Volleyball Canada.

Palou emphasized that their federation transfers will be initiated as soon as they commit to donning the Philippine colors.

“We want the commitment from them. If they’re committed to play for the national team, we’ll work on the transfer of federations from the US to the Philippines. If they’re committed and they decide to play for the national team,” said Palou.

Both Van Sickle and Davison previously expressed interest in joining Alas Pilipinas last year, but their transfer papers have yet to be processed.

Should they officially commit, the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) will immediately initiate their federation switch.

“Yeah oo,” Palou said when asked if formal invitations had already been sent.

“We will ask them if committed sila. But we need to know as soon as possible because we need to work on the transfer of federation,” he added.

Palou expects to receive their responses within the week.
