The Philippine Women’s Lacrosse National Team has secured a berth in the 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship after a dominant performance in their opening matches.
On Monday, the Philippines defeated China, 15-3, and followed that up with a 14-2 rout of Hong Kong on Tuesday in the 2025 Asia-Pacific Women’s Lacrosse Championship held in Queensland, Australia.
In the win against China, Kalena Johnson and Steph Lazo led the charge, each scoring four goals to power the Philippine offense.
The full roster of the Philippine Lacrosse Team includes Olivia Pugh (Defense), Kaitlynn Lazaro (Defense), Caroline Roxas (Attack), Ria Lagdameo (Midfield), Abigail Beattie (Goalie), Kaila Stasulli (Defense), Daryl Coss (Defense), Andrea Macalalad (Attack), Sarah Nelson (Midfield), Kylie Yap (Defense), Lizzie de Guzman (Attack), Bailey Truex (Midfield), Carolyn Carrera (Defense), Cat Roxas (Midfield), Nia Carrera (Midfield), Mallory Ngitngit (Midfield), Minka Martinez (Attack), and Cailey Canessa (Goalie).
The Philippines will face Australia on Wednesday as they continue their campaign.
This marks the Philippines’ first time competing in the tournament, which will be held in Japan.
The World Championship will be held in Japan.
