Adalem Construction- St. Clare College picked up where it left off two days ago, routing AMA Online Education on Thursday, 84-50, to cruise to its second win in the 2022 PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
The reigning, five-time NAASCU champions improved to 2-1 in the standings while dropping the Titans to their third straight defeat in as many games.
Leading the charge for the Saints was Ahron Estacio, who had 15 points on three triples. Estacio stepped up for Johnsherick Estrada, who sat out the contest.
The Saints raced to a 21-8 start and never looked back. The lead ballooned to as high as 39 points in the final frame.
“Yung goal namin dito every game is kailangan hindi lang lima kundi sampu yung handa na maglaro sa amin,” said St. Clare head coach Jinino Manansala. “Hanggang dulo ginagamit namin so kailangan silang mag-perform not only sa offense but defense.”
John Edcel Rojas and Bam Lopez added 13 and 10 points, respectively, for St. Clare. Manning the boards were Luiz Tapenio and Babacar Ndong with 15 and 12 rebounds, respectievly.
Randolf Cruz was the sole double-digit scorer for the Titans with 11.
